The 1000 Islands is an international playground, not only for humans, but for many different species of game fish. The St. Lawrence River and surrounding lakes and streams have long been a destination for serious anglers. The St. Lawrence itself is home to 88 species of fish including well-known game species such as muskellunge, northern pike, both large and small mouth bass and pickerel.
